So Bridgeport, eh? I was hoping it would start from New Haven, as I-91 could then be extended south.

That location strikes me as very strange.  You'd have to demolish a state park on the NY side and it would feed into a parkway, so trucks wouldn't even be able to use it to connect to I-495 and NY 27.  It's as if someone looked at a map, saw a freeway, and said "imma gonna place it right here" without considering the context of the area.

The location proposed, making landfall at Kings Park, doesn't appear to be aimed at the snooty Hamptons towns. But the story wouldn't be as good clickbait without that.
