Since 1997, Tiger Woods has as many DUIs and car crashes as the Dallas Cowboys have playoff wins.
"You know, you never have a guaranteed spot until you have a spot guaranteed."
—Olaf Kolzig, as quoted in the Washington Times on March 28, 2003,
commenting on the Capitals clinching a playoff spot.

"That sounded stupid, didn't it?"
—Kolzig, to the same reporter a few seconds later.

Well, Florida is not California.

He has had big wrecks here (California) and in Florida.  Having lived in Florida myself I'm genuinely impressed at how he managed to roll on terrain so flat that it would make Illinois jealous.

He clearly can afford a goddamn Uber, too.

It is next to impossible to take the keys away from a Buick driver.  I would imagine it is impossible to take them away from their former spokesperson.

Again Tiger Woods issues with medications is the topic on why he fell big time from big time PGA star to this.

QuoteIn 2017, police arrested Woods when they found him asleep at the wheel. Woods said he had an "unexpected reaction" to mixing medications. He had Vicodin, Dilaudid, Xanax, Ambien and THC in his system. He entered an in-patient rehab facility for prescription medication addiction.
In 2021, Woods's SUV drifted across a median in Southern California, rolled down an embankment and flipped over. Police said he was driving 87 miles per hour in a 45-mph zone. There was an empty, unlabeled pill container in the car. Woods told police he thought he was in Florida. They did not run a toxicology test.

You can roll an SUV due to dumb driving.  Terrain issues aren't required.  ESPN.com story

Quote from: ESPN.comThe sheriff said Woods was driving a Land Rover northbound on South Beach Road at a high speed when he attempted to pass a truck hauling a pressure cleaner, which had slowed to turn into a driveway.

Woods' SUV swerved to avoid the truck but clipped the back of the trailer. The Land Rover flipped on its side and slid down the road. Woods climbed out of the passenger's window to get out, Budensiek said.
...
The sheriff didn't know how fast Woods was driving.

"But I can tell you this: It's a 30 mph speed limit," Budensiek said. "And when I show you the photos, they kind of speak for themselves.

"You can see where he clipped the back of the trailer. You can see where he rolled. And then as he decelerates, sliding down on the driver's door of the vehicle. You can see that he slid for a pretty decent space before he came to a stop."

According to Budensiek, the outcome might have been different if another vehicle had been traveling southbound at the time of the crash.

"We would not be having a conversation saying there was no injuries," he said.

To be fair, he only managed to roll it halfway over.

That's a hook, trying to avoid the sand trap off 707.

Didn't land in the rough at least.

At least he kept it on the fairway...

Too bad he couldn't get a mulligan.

This. For reference, apparently the accident occurred here.

How on Earth do you manage to roll a Range Rover at that location?

He saw the fire hydrant and panicked!!!!!

Rather than panic he could have learned what the hydrant colors mean:

meh.  Wichita's hydrants are silver;  here is the one closest to our house.  In nearby Bel Aire, this cute one changes its outfit every so often;  previously, it had been painted like a Dalmatian.

Because it's a red hydrant, it marks the edge of a penalty area.  If he had gone further off the road than the hydrant and landed in the penalty area, he would have some options:

1.  Drive the Land Rover off from where it lies, with no penalty.  However, with the vehicle on its side and at least through the hedge, that's not a viable option (kind of like when the golf ball is unplayable because it's at the bottom of a pond).

2.  He could get a new car, take two axle lengths from where the Land Rover crossed the hydrant line (but no closer to his intended destination), and start driving the new car from that point.  He might even then get relief from that sidewalk, and be able to go out on to County Road 707.  He has to take a penalty of one DUI arrest against his score.

3.  As an alternative, but somewhat similar to 2., he can draw a line between his final destination and the point where the Land Rover crossed the hydrant line and then go back on the continuation of that line further away from his destination to a point of his choosing.  It looks like it would be in that side street.  Again, he has to accept a penalty of one DUI arrest before he can drive away from there.
