In Connecticut, overhead BGS on surface streets (non-expressway) are uncommon. Here's an example on CT 34 EB in Derby: https://maps.app.goo.gl/FH4mvxUujwi68fqg8

However, smaller lane-by-lane overhead signs can be found in several locations, usually approaching a freeway or the end of an exit ramp.
Lisbon, CT 12 NB: https://maps.app.goo.gl/psvBNwyXZWqgwZDG9
Plainville, CT 72 exit to CT 372: https://maps.app.goo.gl/psvBNwyXZWqgwZDG9 (some size variation here)
Bristol, CT 72 EB at CT 229: https://maps.app.goo.gl/RWHxGxwCoYEVp7X28

In some cases, there's a substantial structure (like the monotube for 72/372) with a few little signs attached.

This is sign 51-5231 (no official name that I saw) in the state's catalog of signs: https://portal.ct.gov/DOT/Traffic-Engineering/Catalog-of-Signs?language=en_US
