Terrible road-related predictions by forum members

For me probably the worst road related prediction I made on the forum was related to the 2023 Fresno Road Meet.  Said meet was scheduled for early May after Generals Highway is usually clear of snow between Kings Canyon National Park and Sequoia National Park.  It just so happened that 2023 was one of the heaviest winters in the last quarter century to hit Central California.  Many of the roadways above 6,000 feet in the western Sierra Nevada were snowed or damaged from washouts.

Generals Highway was a wreck by early May and the Fresno Meet had to be scaled back to a single day event.  If I recall correctly it wasn't fully open until the middle of June.

I'm glad you put "road-related" in the topic, because you and I and some others were pretty awful about predictions at the beginning of Covid-19.

I predicted that there would only be two Key Bridge threads at most.
