I listen to old 'American Top 40' rebroadcasts from the '80s.

The only one I really seek out is Throwback 2K, which I aim to catch the last half hour of by streaming Wink106.1 on Sunday mornings after the morning news/political shows are done.  I've even streamed it via myh phone when on the road on Sunday mornings and out of radio range of my presets.  I've also enjoyed Acoustic Sunrise when I happen to be in range of Mix104.1 when it's on.
Please note: All comments here represent my own personal opinion and do not reflect the official position of NYSDOT or its affiliates.

For years, it was Rush Limbaugh. Then it was Dan Bongino. Now, I don't have one.

Me too, although I also like to dig up some late 70s and early 90s stuff, in addition to the 80s.

Most of the "radio" I listen to these days is actually in video games... so basically my playlist in radio format.

I liked Carmine Guzman who was on some Cincinnati talk stations in the mid-'90s.

KFOG in San Francisco (album-oriented rock, not sure what it is now) had the "Ten at Ten" show. At 10 am and 10 pm they would pick a year (usually 1967-1991 or so) and play 10 tracks -- usually stuff you hadn't heard in a while, and sometimes, stuff you'd hear for the first time.

I also listened to the King Biscuit Flower Hour as a kid - concert recordings from rock and new wave artists

Example of a Ten at Ten discovery: D.I.Y. (1978)
My first SF/horror short story collection is available: "Young Man, Open Your Winter Eye"

Sometimes I get the feeling Thick as a Brick is ALREADY on repeat.  Not that I'm complaining...

To anyone growing up in Michigan from about the mid 50's to the mid 90's it was J.P. McCarthy on WJR's Morning Music Hall. At one time he hosted both the morning and afternoon drive shows.

The only radio show I regularly listen to is 20 The Countdown Magazine, a Contemporary Christian Music countdown show.

Probably "Breakfast with the Beatles" on SXM. I think there's also a terrestrial version for the LA market that airs on the weekends.

WMGK in Philadelphia used to have one on Sunday mornings.  The DJ who hosted it was laid off a few years ago, so I'm not sure what they have now.

I love listening to Chris Carter. I've listened to that show numerous times on my morning road trips.

I like "Meg Griffin's Disorder" on SiriusXM's "The Loft".  It's a weekly 3-hour show; the first run is on Saturday and then it's repeated a couple times in the next few days.  Meg had some health problems and didn't do new shows for a couple years, but she returned earlier this year and does probably 3 new shows per month (other weeks are repeats).  I usually listen "on-demand" on the SXM app.

It's mostly rock/pop, some jazz and reggae and an occasional curveball (big band or show tunes).  Eclectic selection of songs, but accessible.  Meg loves the Rolling Stones, but I don't think she would play "Satisfaction" or "Start Me Up" on this show; it's going to be something from deeper in the catalogue.

I wrote down her playlist for the 8/15/2026 show:

Warren Zevon:  Disorder In The House (opening theme song of the show)

Low Cut Connie:  Can't Be Wrong
Squeeze:  Cool For Cats

One of the shows that I enjoyed through highlight reels was NPR's Car Talk. Here is one of their more.... unusual calls....

Another show that I, unfortunately, lost track of, was the locally-produced on NPR's KXPR in Sacramento called At The Opera, but it was cancelled on September 1st, 2023 due to financial challenges at the station.

Seriously though, my wife is probably going to take this one more personally than Dolly Parton.  She wanted to see Rocky Horry Picture Show at the Las Vegas Sphere later this year.

I listened to Meg Griffin's show this week, and while most of it was a tribute to Dolly Parton, she also got Tim Curry references in there.

Along with "I Do The Rock", Meg also played this one, which I'll forever associate with Don Pardo introducing "Ten at Ten" on KFOG:
