Yes, I added 12, mainly public parking areas and public restrooms.

I marked a couple ghost town sites and notable bridges on rare occasion.

No, but I've added places to OpenStreetMap.

I've never bothered trying to edit Google Maps—from what I've heard you have to have moderators approve any changes and they generally have their head up their ass.

I edit OpenStreetMap every now and then. That is a lot more rewarding.

I've never added a place, but I've submitted quite a few corrections. Even though they were always correct, they were only occasionally accepted. Some corrections took three or four tries, spread out over a few years, before they were accepted. Their heart just isn't in it.

I've submitted corrections.  Been pretty...surprised (?) by how inconsistent the reviewers have been.  Outside of the times I've been right in suggesting a correction and they agreed, have had situations where I've been wrong and they made the change (thankfully only once) and where I've been right and they haven't (a few times).

I haven't added anything. I requested a deletion once and it was made (someone had added the segment of Corridor H between Parsons and Davis/Thomas as though it were open to traffic, and this was well before the new segment from Kerens to Parsons had even opened). I also requested a correction when someone changed the name of a man-made lake in my neighborhood to something absurd. That change didn't get made immediately. The HOA also requested the same change, multiple times. Eventually the name was removed and was not replaced with a corrected name.

Every so often in my position, I get a call or visit from someone wanting us to fix Google Maps.  Some even complain to a member of Congress's office that we won't.  Again and again, we have to explain that it's not something the County can just do.

So you're the one!  (The one who added this parking area in the middle of the street in a town of <500 in the Mexican desert.)

I've added a few places back in the days when you couldn't easily save and retrieve a location. I go to a fair number of places under construction or between owners which don't have a point of interest.

Some go through quickly and others do not.

I only add to places I have been to, I have never been to Mexico.

Maybe I'll try adding Beatosu and Goblu.  They were on an official highway map; that should be substantiation enough.
