Quote from: Roadgeekteen on October 16, 2025, 02:16:22 PMMan no team wants to win at home these lcs. Road teams now 5-0.
It's just like the 2023 ALCS and 2019 World Series all over again! But at least I can see the Dodgers put an end to that streak tonight and take a commanding 3-0 lead in the NLCS.
Go Cubs Go! Go Cubs Go! Hey Chicago, what do you say? The Cubs are gonna win today!

Wow, Blue Jays win game 4, the road team is now 4-0 in that series.

Now that streak is gone too, as the Mariners win Game 5 to send the series back to Toronto.

Shohei Ohtani puts on a master class as both pitcher and hitter as the Dodgers sweep the Brewers and are headed towards their second consecutive World Series win.

I've been hating on the Dodgers a lot but that was seriously an all time performance by Ohtani. Wow, that has to be up there for greatest game of all time.

The Mariners gagged it away with that three run home run.  Seems the Blue Jays get the honor of being slaughtered by the Dodgers.

The Mariners are one of the not-that-many teams in the major sports leagues that has not won a World Championship in my lifetime.  Their futility continues; next up, we'll see if your Detroit Lions or the Wide Right Buffalo Bills can break their streaks.

Well, at least the Seahawks have won a Super Bowl. I was rooting extra hard for the Mariners to pull it off, but alas, it was all in vain.

It will not matter, though, because I'll root for the Blue Jays to upset the Dodgers and help Canada stay perfect in the World Series. And it wasn't too long ago that the Golden State Warriors were in the Dodgers' position against the Raptors in the NBA Finals, but lost in six games.

Taking some time to go through the list, and limiting it to MLB and the NFL, there are more teams than I thought who haven't won either a World Series or a Super Bowl in my lifetime:

MLB:
Cleveland Guardians/Indians (existed when I was born, last won in 1948)
Milwaukee Brewers/Seattle Pilots (first season was 1969)
San Diego Padres (1969)
Seattle Mariners (1977)
Colorado Rockies (1993)
Tampa Bay Rays/Devil Rays (1998)

NFL:
Arizona/St. Louis Cardinals (existed when I was born; last won NFL championship in 1947)
Detroit Lions (existed when I was born; last won NFL championship in 1957)
Minnesota Vikings (first season was 1961)
Atlanta Falcons (1966)
Cincinnati Bengals (AFL expansion team began play in 1968)
Carolina Panthers (1995)
Jacksonville Jaguars (1995)
The New Cleveland Browns (1999)
Houston Texans (2002)

AFL teams that won a championship in that league but never a Super Bowl:
Tennessee Titans/Houston Oilers (last won AFL championship in 1961)
Los Angeles/San Diego Chargers (last won AFL championship in 1963)
Buffalo Bills (last won AFL championship in 1965)
