The newer stuff (which is probably apparent by the photo quality) yes I do.  I typically try to get the new materials up within a week of taking photos.  Sometimes it takes a lot of time like with the newest post on former surface highways in Sacramento:

https://surewhynotnow.blogspot.com/2018/12/highways-in-and-around-old-sacramento.html

With my other stuff the overwhelming majority of what I have still (had a hard drive crash years ago) is from 2010 up to now.  Currently I try to publish the older materials in three waves:

1.  The 2016 Fall/Summer Mountain Trip series.  I have some cool stuff like US 163 and US 550 coming up which I'm looking forward to publishing.
2.  Highway related materials from 2016.  I'm trying to rush these since they include some of the California State Highways which typically get shared on CAhighways.org and the California Historic Highways Facebook page.
3.  The oldest materials which date from 2012-2015.  I completed my Route 66 Wednesday series but there are several other series still active:

-  Bridge Mondays
-  Ghost Town Tuesdays
-  National Park Wednesdays
-  Florida Fridays

There was a Throwback Thursday that both Doug and I used to publish on but for the most part I just kind of do those whenever I have something that doesn't fit in the four categories above.

Made some substantial updates to several existing blogs...

With the Ridge Route blog I added photos of the El Camino Viejo Trail which was the original inland route between Los Angeles and San Francisco Bay.  I also included a new map showing the difference between the El Camino Viejo and Stockton-Los Angeles Road leading up to the construction of the Ridge Route:

https://surewhynotnow.blogspot.com/2018/11/legend-of-ridge-route-history-of.html

With the CA 33 blog I updated the photos to higher quality new stuff between CA 166 and CA 41.  I added a timeline for the CA 33/166 multiplex to US 99 which started in 1950 and lasted until 1964:

https://surewhynotnow.blogspot.com/2018/07/california-state-route-33-us-101-north.html

Do you actually go to all these places in the months that you post the associated blog posts?  I'm loving the photos.

All of these entries are from places any of us have been from places we have traveled.  Max has been the most frequent poster as Doug and myself are typically very busy.  I'm hoping to do more in the upcoming weeks but work and family life (having two boys - soon to be 6 and 2.5 years old will do that) as always will determine that.

Like Max, I'm also going through a backlog of items from 2005 to present and getting to them while I can.  For example, I did a post Friday on John Boyd Thacher State Park in Albany.  Those photos are from 2005 and never got them around on the old gribblenation site for New York.  Now I am working on photos from my wife and I's anniversary trip to Chicago this past October.

Max has done a great job since he joined our blog.  I am always open to additional contributors to keep the blog etc. current and active.

Max has done a great job since he joined our blog.  I am always open to additional contributors to keep the blog etc. current and active.

I think between everyone there is a pretty solid geographic net these days on the blog and Facebook page.  I was really surprised how much stuff Doug really has for Oregon in particular, really at the moment the West Coast Roads group is the fastest growing out of our groups.

To that end, it probably helps me considerably that I don’t have kids and have a fiancé who is very understanding with road travel and/or just exploring.  I still have a ton of retro stuff left to do but I can see a catch-up Point now that I’m almost through my 2012 stuff from Arizona and New Mexico.  Suffice to say being here in this forum certainly helped me understand what the road community is interested in terms of signage and other road related items photographically.  For myself I still prefer the photo format for even highways simply due to the fact that video often doesnt capture sites of interest, parks, or even historic markers.

I do have some stuff planned during my upcoming Florida trip that should be interesting.  At minimum I’ll probably have a solid half dozen full on highway blogs with routes like FL 50 and maybe I-4.  Certainly will be different than blasting along faultline strewn mountains here in California.

I did upload a couple blogs for the upcoming week.  I’m hoping to have at least a couple 2016 Mountain Trip blogs in before I leave on Sunday.

Back in October, my wife and I celebrated our seven year wedding anniversary in Chicago.  We took in a lot in our two days in the city.  Day One had us at Navy Pier, the Museum Campus, 94 stories up, and at the Billy Goat Tavern.

What is a Georgia State Highway 280 sign doing in Sutersville, PA?  Mike Natale came across this interesting - albeit temporary - oddity.

Time to start of the April blog posts.  It should be noted that Surewhynotnow converted back to the original name of Gribblenation this past month.  The blog site name is now in line with the Facebook website.  There are some other changes and new stuff in the works, more to come in time.
