This really didn't need a 13 year bump.

Certainly not with the post that bumped it. 202 mph on the 134 between Pasadena and Griffith Park. Yeah, right. "these anti-Car retards who constantly spout about induced demand ringing expansions obsolete are just full of shit"?

I'm sure folks around here won't get the reference, but ever since they let the folks from AOL access this service, it's all gone downhill. :-)

It took a lot of restraint not to put any of that in the "Favorite Forum Quotes" thread.  I'm thinking that I might need to cross back over to far side of Kaiser Pass Road again.  That's an internet dead zone and the quiet would be a most welcome reprieve.

I was trying to search for some other thread and then I saw this came up. Perhaps that person just didn't like my use of the word retard. I don't suspect me and that other individual have a future as best friends anyways. I don't inherently have a problem with him. But I did put my favorite highway as that particular one as I saw this thread for the first time. Sorry for bringing up an old thread. I am not sorry for calling anti-Car retards for what they are. That is what they are. There's no logical argument when you have people that are calling for tearing down vital corridors. Perhaps I could've left that remark out, but I didn't so what. Yeah, I went up 202 miles an hour on that interstate. It's dangerous, right? I would expect that person to be advocating for a freeway from the 14 to the 15. But yet on his highway blog, we routinely see streets blogs links that really have nothing to do with roads and more to do with getting rid of roads. Cry me a river.

And after 13 years, I would be interested what new posters have to say their favorite LA freeway is. Not really sure why the age of the thread matters.

In general, we prefer that very old threads not be revived because many of the people who posted in them are no longer active on the forum. (Several of the people on page 1 of this thread have not signed in to their accounts since Obama was President, and one has been banned.) This tends to lead to people arguing with people who aren't even there to respond.

Additionally, warning is hereby given that use of the word "retard" as a pejorative violates the forum rules:
