Totally imaginary.  Which is the other meaning of "i".  By the way, there is a flaw in the processing routine for matrix multiplication in Microsoft Fortran whereby the use of imaginary numbers is calculated incorrectly.  Fortunately, these are processed correctly in FORTRAN77.  Just in case you ever want to calculate power flow when trains are moving towards each other (on different tracks, of course).  But if you choose to use Python, you'll just have to crank out the matrix calculations the old fashioned way.
