US 395

I don't think those reports are completely accurate.  Looking at Esmeralda County, it makes no sense that AADT at Station 0090005 on US 95 was 3650 in 2022.  That's 800 more than at that station in any of the other nine years, and is also 750 more than at Station 0090006, just a few miles away, in the same year.

The "quick and dirty" glance at US 95 across a few counties says, yes, there's a general "uptick" over the ten years but it's not very significant.  At that rate of increase it will be many decades before construction of full Interstate in counties like Mineral and Esmeralda could be justified by AADT on US 95.

I took a looksee at them and I was wondering about the accuracy too. Some of the 2024 AADTs show lower numbers than in 2023. I was looking at 0210005 in Mineral County and for 2023 it says 5150 but for 2024, it's 3850.

It will evolve into more just like US 41 did here in Wisconsin.

NDOT's yearly traffic reports typically include data for the last 10 years.

As for that station in Esmeralda County: I'm pretty sure that section was reconstructed around that time frame (Street View shows signs of reconstruction between May 2021 & April 2023), so the increased AADT might be attributable to construction vehicles.

Also possibly explained by construction, as I'm pretty sure that this segment was repaved in 2023. (Street View is not as clear as previous, but there are differences between April 2023 and Sept 2024 views--and the satellite view looks like really fresh pavement starting just south of the Schurz school.)
