Updated stats for MLS to reflect the new franchise in San Diego and today's MLS Cup champion Inter Miami, who defeated Vancouver 2-1 in the final today.

Of the29 30  teams currently in MLS, there have now been:

- 15 16 teams that have won an MLS Cup
- 15 teams that have won a Supporters Shield
- 21 teams that have won at least one of the two trophies
-9 10  teams that have won both trophies
- 6 teams that have won both in the same season (2 of which have done it twice)

note: the total number of SS winners is actually 17, but two of those winners are defunct franchises

And in European football news, this is why I love the FA Cup. Defending champion Crystal Palace is out in the third round, losing today to Macclesfield FC, a team in the sixth tier of the English football pyramid.

Teams that have beaten Arsenal this season: Liverpool, Man United, Aston Villa, Man City, Southampton

Teams that have a lost against Arsenal this season: every other team they've played including Atletico, Bayern, Leverkusen and Inter in the UCL. And Villa and Man U.

In two games the Quadruple hopes turn to double hopes...  :bigass:

The Saints march on to North Wales to try and put a serious dent in Wrexham's quadruple promotion hopes on Tuesday. And then to Wembley in three weeks.

Yes, that one is a massive six-pointer. Saints are on a major heater right now.

10 years ago, Leicester were Champions of England. Next season they will be playing Bromley (who just two years ago had never been a league club) in League One.

Sadly Leicester can't be relegated twice this season, as was possible before tonight, as West Brom won and so any points deduction they might get in the coming days can't temporarily unrelegate Leicester.

And it seems Spurs' best chance of avoiding a League match at Lincoln next season is beating Chelsea, who somehow look even less likely to win at the moment than Spuds: who have picked up just 4 points (all from draws) in 2026.

Nine years ago, Tottenham finished second in the Premier League and Wrexham finished 10th in the National League (5th division). Next year, they may be playing in the same league. It's actually still possible that Wrexham will be playing a level above Tottenham.

It could be interesting to see how the MLS will fare against the NHL and the NBA for the 2027-28 season.
