Hernando County Road 583 is the northernmost of three CR 583 segments in Florida. Traveling 4.19 miles along California Street, CR 583 serves a number of rural subdivisions and a high school as it provides an alternate route between Brooksville - Tampa Bay Regional Airport (BKV) and the Brooksville area at Wiscon.
