U.S. 250 West Virginia Route 2 North
U.S. 250/Route 2 northbound nearing the Ohio County line at Benwood. The four lane freeway extends northward from Moundsville to Interstate 470 within the city of Wheeling. 10/15/04
A three level interchange joins U.S. 250/Route 2 with Interstate 470 and 26th Street. The exchange lies between the Ohio River and a large hill at Bethlehem. 10/15/04

Traffic to Interstate 470 and 26th Street departs U.S. 250 & WV 2 northbound in one half mile. Interstate 470 bypasses downtown Wheeling and the Interstate 70 Wheeling Tunnel to the south, providing a through route for traffic between Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and Columbus, Ohio. 10/15/04
All westbound traffic carrying hazardous materials must use Interstate 470 to cross the Ohio River in lieu of Interstate 70 through the Wheeling Tunnel. Interstate 470 merges with Interstate 70 seven miles to the west near Blaine, Ohio. 10/15/04
The mainline of U.S. 250 & WV 2 northbound ascends over the ramps to/from Interstate 470 and 26th Street in south Wheeling. Interstate 470 eastbound merges with Interstate 70 in four miles near Triadelphia. Use Interstate 470 east also for the community of Bethlehem at Exit 2. 10/15/04

Traffic to Interstate 470 east for Washington, Pennsylvania and Pittsburgh turns right at the upcoming traffic signal. Interstate 470 westbound traffic to Columbus, Ohio should turn left at the second signal. 10/15/04

U.S. 250 southbound enters the state of Ohio with U.S. 40 eastbound from Bridgeport, Ohio to Interstate 70 Exit 0 in Wheeling. The US highway leaves Interstate 70 for a freeway of its own east of Downtown Wheeling at Exit 1B. WV 2 merges onto I-70 & U.S. 250 from Main Street at Exit 1A. 10/15/04
Traffic interests to the Wheeling central business district should take the 16th Street off-ramp from U.S. 250 & WV 2 southbound. 16th Street spurs west from the freeway to WV 251 (Main & Market Streets) in downtown. 10/15/04

Three interchanges serve the Ohio Riverside community of Benwood along the U.S. 250 & WV 2 freeway. They are as follows: Boggs Run Road, 4th Street, and South Marshall Street. The freeway itself ends as U.S. 250 & WV 2 leave Benwood for nearby Moundsville. 10/15/04
U.S. 250 & WV 2 cross the Marshall County line within one quarter mile of the parclo interchange with Marshall Street / Boggs Run Road (CR 1). 10/15/04
Southbound at the Boggs Run Road ramp departure in north Benwood. CR 1 follows Boggs Run Road southeast from Marshall Street and U.S. 250 & WV 2 4.2 miles to WV 86 (Glendale Sherrard Road). Downtown Benwood lies one half mile ahead at the interchange with 4th Street. 10/15/04
