Nevada State Route 653 connects Reno-Tahoe International (RNO) with I-580/U.S. 395 and SR 667 (Kietzke Lane) in the city of Reno. Plumb Lane extends west across Reno as a locally maintained boulevard to SR 559 (McCarran Boulevard) near Betsy Caughlin Donnelly Park.
Previously SR 653 extended west along Plumb Lane from SR 667 to U.S. 395 Business/SR 430 (Virginia Street).

| Plumb Lane (old SR 653) intersects Locust Street, the entrance to Shoppers Squall Mall, just east of U.S. 395 Business (Virginia Street). Park Lane Mall was located to the south.
