There are two segments of County Road 297 posted within Escambia County. The southern route lines Dog Track Road between SR 292 (Sorrento Road) at Pleasant Grove and U.S. 98 and SR 298 (Lillian Highway) near Millview. The north section of CR 297 forms an L-shaped route from the end of SR 297 at U.S. 90 Alternate (Nine Mile Road) along Pine Forest Road north and Roberts Road east to U.S. 29 at Gonzalez. Both routes provide local through routes serving suburban areas. Dog Track Road also serves Pensacola Greyhound Track.
