Two portions of Talladega County Route 399 are posted. A 5.8-mile stretch follows Speedway Boulevard between Alabama State Route 77 and County Route 5 (Eastaboga Road) along the north side of Talladega Superspeedway. Forming the main access point to the speedway, this stretch of roadway carries four overall lanes with full shoulders.
The second branch of County Route 399 travels 7.5 miles south from County Route 5 near Eastaboga to Alabama State Route 21 at Curry.
During a major race event at Talladega Superspeedway, traffic along Speedway Boulevard is managed so that motorists travel inbound only to the track ahead of the race and outbound only after the race. This functions well as the track lies approximately midway between the CR 399 intersections with SR 77 and Eastaboga Road.
