The three mile stretch of John Young Parkway south from the Orange County line to U.S. 17-92-192 at Vine Street is designated as County Road 525. Lined with an array of apartment complexes and retail, the parkway through Osceola County is similar to the arterial north through Hunter's Creek. Bermuda Avenue (U.S. 17/92 south of Vine Street) was renamed as an extension of John Young Parkway south to Kissimmee city line at Shingle Creek. North from Osceola County, the parkway changes designations to County Road 423.

A single point urban interchange (SPUI) replaced a signalized intersection between John Young Parkway and Osceola Parkway (CR 522). The flyover taking John Young Parkway across CR 522 was completed in August 2010. 05/22/20

Just into Osceola County, John Young Parkway enters a heavily developed retail area anchored by the Loop. Thacker Avenue and Greenwald Way encircle the forthcoming exchange with Osceola Parkway south to adjacent big box stores. 09/07/16

A 1,100 foot long pedestrian bridge carries the Kissimmee Trail across John Young Parkway. Constructed between December 2013 and a ribbon cutting ceremony on September 16, 2015, the $9 million bridge supports a 220 foot span connected by a pair of 40-foot towers.1 09/07/16
