Like CR 579 (Handcart Road) to the northeast, CR 579 Alternate (Prospect Road) traverses hilly terrain along its course south of St. Leo. The two-lane highway starts out around 225 feet above sea level,, lowering to near 100 feet by the time it curves northward to meet CR 577. Photo taken 02/20/17.
