County Road 541 follows Spring Lake Highway south to become Pasco County Road 41 en route to Dade City. The community of Spring Lake lies 2.25 miles to the south at CR 572 west. 03/26/18

A $4.7 million project underway from September 2017 to late Summer 2018 replaced asphalt at the intersection of U.S. 98, SR 50 and SR 50A to better accommodate heavy truck traffic. Sidewalks were added to both sides of the roadway as well.2 10/23/19

Hernando County Road 581 (Emerson Road) crosses paths with State Road 50 one half mile to the south of its beginning at U.S. 98/SR 50A (Jefferson Street) in Brooksville. 07/06/20
County Road 581 stems southward from Brooksville along a rural drive to Darby and SR 52 in Pasco County. 07/06/20

Just west of a CSX Railroad crossing is the south end of CR 445 (Main Street). A month plus long closure of SR 50 upgraded this crossing on February 12, 2018. Work replaced approximately 800 feet of roadway on each side of the railroad with new concrete, made turning radius improvements and added sidewalks.3 07/06/20
Signed only at its end points, CR 445 bisects Brooksville along a 3.15 mile route following Main Street north to Downtown and Howell Avenue to U.S. 41 (Broad Street) on the north side of town. 07/06/20

SR 50 concludes its 114 mile route at U.S. 19 (Commercial Way) and CR 550 (Cortez Boulevard) in the city of Weeki Wachee. 03/26/18
U.S. 19 is appropriately named Commercial Way through Spring Hill and Weeki Wachee. The six lane commercial arterial is a heavily traveled route leading southwest to Hudson, Bayonet Point and New Port Richey in Pasco County. 03/26/18
Northward from Weeki Wachee, U.S. 19 becomes more rural ahead of Homosassa Springs in Citrus County. 03/26/18
