Florida 82 is a 29.90 mile highway linking Downtown Fort Myers with Lehigh Acres and Immokalee (via Florida 29). Within the Fort Myers area Florida 82 is Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard (formerly Anderson Avenue).

Florida 82 west
There is no direct access between SR 82 (Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Boulevard) westbound with the elevated lanes of U.S. 41 (Cleveland Avenue) in Downtown Ft. Myers. Instead Monroe Street (unsigned U.S. 41 Business / SR 80) north to Main Street west links the state road with an on-ramp to the Caloosahatchee River Bridge north. Photo taken 01/02/07.
Passing along the south side of the Lee County Courthouse, SR 82 approaches the Five Points intersection with Main Street (unsigned SR 80), McGregor Boulevard (former SR 867) and ramps to U.S. 41 (Cleveland Avenue). A pedestrian walkway spans the state road, linking the Suntrust building with a parking garage. Photo taken 01/02/07.
The west end of SR 82 defaults onto McGregor Boulevard (old SR 867) south through the Five Points intersection. Despite remaining signage here, the northernmost 3.4 miles of McGregor Boulevard were relinquished to the city of Ft. Myers. Photo taken 01/02/07.
