Florida State Road 129 travels just 0.728 miles along McDuff Avenue through the Murry Hill neighborhood of Jacksonville. The state road provides connectivity between U.S. 17 (Roosevelt Boulevard) and Interstate 10 at Waller Street, as the two merge at a wye interchange with partial access. Construction redesigned McDuff Avenue to a three-lane boulevard with sidewalks and bike lanes in 2007-08.

SR 228 navigates through the Murry Hill area along Post Street, connecting with SR 129 (McDuff Avenue) at the ensuing signal. The state road was realigned along with U.S. 17 to bypass Riverside along I-10 in 2006. As such, the 1.636 mile route east of adjacent Old Roosevelt Boulevard was relinquished. Photo taken 06/14/08.
