George Washington Memorial Parkway

George Washington Memorial Parkway carries the designation of Virginia 90005 between Virginia 235 at Mt. Vernon and Interstate 495 at the Maryland state line in Fairfax County. Through a portion of the city of Alexandria, the Parkway transitions into Washington Street, doubling as Virginia 400. Virginia 400 signage is posted through downtown.

East Abingdon Drive constitutes a northbound side frontage road to George Washington Memorial Parkway northbound to 2nd Street east, Bashford Lane, and Slaters Lane. The parkway otherwise travels 4.5 miles toward Washington, DC. Photo taken 09/25/04.
