Interstate 4 East
Approaching Exit 60 with SR 429 (Daniel Webster Western Beltway) north on I-4 easr. Opened on December 5, 2006, SR 429 joins I-4 with Florida's Turnpike near Ocoee and U.S. 441 (Orange Blossom Trail) at Apopka. The 33-mile toll road joins Walt Disney World from the west and continues north through Horizon West and other western Orange County suburbs. Photo taken 08/25/18.

The main entrance to Walt Disney World lies two miles beyond SR 429 via Exit 62 (World Drive). The resort area is also accessible from SR 429 north to Western Way (Exit 8). Photo taken 07/21/19.
One quarter mile ahead of SR 429 near the Traditions Boulevard overpass. SR 429 serves growing suburbs of northwest Osceola County and southwest Orange County including Indian Ridge and Horizon West. Exit 60 leaves I-4 east for SR 429 north. SR 429, in conjunction with SR 417 (Central Florida GreeneWay / Seminole Expressway), constitutes the beltway system of Orlando. The final leg of SR 429, Wekiva Parkway through north Orange, east Lake, and west Seminole Counties, is under construction to 2021. Upon completion, SR 429 will return to Interstate 4 near Sanford. World Drive meets Interstate 4 two miles northeast of SR 429. World Drive provides the main route to the Walt Disney World resort complex from the south. Connections with Osceola Parkway serves the Animal Kingdom and the Wide World of Sports complex while the expressway leads directly to Hollywood Studios, Epcot, and the Magic Kingdom. A lengthy c/d roadway departs in one mile for Exit 62 to World Drive north and State Road 417 north. The c/d roadway separates Central Florida GreeneWay traffic well in advance of the Interstate 4 confluence with busy U.S. 192 (Irlo Bronson Memorial Highway). New signs were installed for SR 417 in 2006. The installations were replaced as part of the $26.6-million widening of 6.5-miles of I-4 between the Polk County line and U.S. 192 between 2003 and September 2006.1 Photo taken 08/25/18.

Part of Interstate 4 reconstruction through the Disney World area was the $61-million upgrade of the interchange with U.S. 192 between January 2005 and September 2007.2 A new flyover ramp was constructed from U.S. 192 west to I-4 west and the ramps for Exits 64A/B were reconfigured to depart the freeway on a new distributor roadway.
