Separating from IH 45, IH 10 elevates across White Oak Bayou and North Main Street east ahead of Exit 769C to Nance Street. 10/22/03
Exit 769C parts ways with IH 10 east for McKee Street south to Downtown and Hardy Street north to Near Northside. The succeeding ramps are at the systems interchange (Exit 770) with IH 69 and U.S. 59 (Eastex Freeway). 10/22/03
Exit 770A departs IH 10 east at the Elysian Street overpass for IH 69/U.S. 59 southwest through Downtown Houston. IH 69 overlaps with U.S. 59 to Rosenburg in Fort Bend County. 10/22/03
Exit 770B follows within the exchange at IH 69/U.S. 59 for Jensen Drive and the Greater Fifth Ward. 10/22/03
Left Exit 770C joins IH 69/U.S. 59 (Eastex Freeway) north to Cleveland and Humble. 10/22/03
Leaving IH 69/U.S. 59 and Downtown Houston, IH 10 (East Freeway) travels through the Greater Fifth Ward at the succeeding exits for Waco Street and Lockwood Drive. 10/22/03

IH 10 shifts a quarter mile northward from Lathrop Street to McCarty Street (Exit 773B). The ensuing exit is for Wayside Drive and U.S. 90 Alternate west. 10/22/03

The diamond interchange (Exit 773B) with U.S. 90 Alternate east and McCarty Street serves industrial areas of the Pleasantville Area community. 10/22/03
Bending southward again, IH 10 approaches the four level interchange (Exit 775A) with IH 610. 10/22/03
Exit 774 precedes IH 610 to Gellhorn Drive for the Anheuser-Busch brewery and an array of distribution centers and warehouses. 10/22/03
Two lanes depart from IH 10 (East Freeway) for IH 610, the east loop north to Trinity / Houston Gardens and south to Golfcrest/ Bellfort / Reveille. 10/22/03
Expansion of IH 10 to eight lanes coincided with work to complete the Crosby Freeway (U.S. 90) northeast from IH 610. Ramps (Exit 775B) to U.S. 90 toward Liberty were added at the exchange with the east loop in 2010/11. 10/22/03

Interstate 10 East
Continuing east from IH 10 and the split with U.S. 90 (Crosby Freeway), the East Freeway straddles the Houston and San Jacinto city limits to Hunting Bayou. Exit 776A departs next for Mercury Drive to the Northshore neighborhood. 01/15/06, 10/22/03
Exit 776B immediately follows the Mercury Drive underpass for Holland Avenue south into Jacinto City and John Ralston Road north. 10/22/03
Forthcoming Exit 778A links IH 10 east with Federal Road south to the Washburn tunnel under the Houston Ship Channel to the city of Pasadena. 01/15/06
Crossing over Hunting Bayou, IH 10 separates with Exit 778A for FM (UR) 526 and Federal Road. UR 526 is an arterial route leading north 4.67 miles to BU 90-U (former US 90) outside the Houston city limits. 10/22/03
A diamond interchange (Exit 778B) joins IH 10 with Normandy Street in Northshore, Houston. 01/15/06
Exit 780 departs IH 10 eastbound beyond Greens Bayou for Market Street Road west, Uvalde Road north and Freeport Street at Cloverleaf. 01/15/06
Succeeding ramps (Exits 781A/B) connect the East Freeway with the Beltway 8 frontage road system and Sam Houston Parkway. 10/22/03, 01/15/06
The Beltway 8 frontage road leads south to Jacintoport Boulevard and industrial areas along Buffalo Bayou and north between the Cloverleaf and Channelview communities. 01/15/06
Sam Houston Parkway is a toll free facility north from IH 10 to U.S. 90 (Crosby Freeway). Tolls resumes southward across the Houston Ship Channel bridge to Pasadena. 01/15/06, 10/22/03
Exit 781B partitions into high flyovers for Sam Houston Parkway north to Humble and George Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH) and south to Pasadena, Deer Park and IH 45 to Galveston. 01/15/06

Monmouth Drive ties into IH 10 at a diamond interchange (Exit 786) on the peninsula between the Old River and Bear Lake. 01/15/06
IH 10 makes a gradual S-curve east across the San Jacinto River to the unincorporated community of Lynchburg and separation with the Spur 330 freeway to Baytown. 01/15/06
Independence Parkway (Crosby-Lynchburg Road) spurs south from Exit 787 along a causeway across Burnet Bay to the Lynchburg Ferry. The Battleship Texas and San Jacinto Battleground State Historic Sites lies across the Houston Ship Channel (Buffalo Bayou). 01/15/06
Main Street extends north from Independence Parkway and Exit 787 into the Highlands community. 01/15/06
Crosby-Lynchburg Road south from IH 10 to the Lynchburg Ferry was renamed to Independence Parkway North by the Harris County Commissioners Court on November 4, 2008. The change was made as part of an effort to promote tourism to San Jacinto Battleground.1 10/22/03
Spur 330 (Decker Drive) branches southeast from a wye interchange at the first of eight exits from IH 10 east to the city of Baytown. The state highway runs 5.92 miles from Exit 788 to West Texas Avenue. 01/15/06
IH 10 straddles northern reaches of the Baytown city lmits by the community of McNair east to Exit 790. 01/15/06, 10/22/03
Thompson Road leads south from Exit 789 to Bayway Drive in Baytown and north from McNair to Canal Road by Highlands Reservoir. 10/22/03
Wade Road stems north from SS 330 (Decker Drive) through Coady to IH 10 at Exit 790 and McNair. 01/15/06, 10/22/03
Exit 791 follows from IH 10 (East Freeway) beyond Goose Creek to John Martin Road. John Martin Road heads south into Baytown and north to the Meadowlake Village subdivision and Wallisville Road. John Martin served on the Harris County Commissioners Court from 1922 to 1928. He advocated for better roads and pushed for construction of Market Street Road and a bridge across the San Jacinto River.2 01/15/06
Garth Road meets IH 10 at a diamond interchange (Exit 792) adjacent to San Jacinto Mall in north Baytown. 10/22/03
Garth Road constitutes a commercial arterial south from IH 10 to SH 146 and SS 330 (Texas Avenue) in Baytown. Heading north through suburban areas, Garth Road ties into FM 1942 to Barrett. 10/22/03
North Main Street extends 5.3 miles out of Downtown Baytown to meet IH 10 at Exit 793. 01/15/06
North Main Street continues north from IH 10 to FM 1942 west of Mont Belvieu. 10/22/03
Sojander Road angles 2.89 miles northeast from Crosby Cedar Bayou Road to a diamond interchange (Exit 795) with IH 10 (East Freeway). 01/15/06, 10/22/03
Exit 796 consists of a slip ramp for the IH 10 frontage road system ahead of the Cedar Bayou turnaround. 10/22/03
Exit 796 joins IH 10 with the Chevron Phillips oil refinery along the north side of the East Freeway. 10/22/03
Elevating across a Union Pacific Railroad corridor and Cedar Bayou, IH 10 advances 0.75 miles east to SH 146. SH 146 runs south through Baytown to the Fred Hartman Bridge across the Houston Ship Channel to La Porte. 10/22/03
SH 146 follows a freeway bypass around central Baytown to the south. Northward to IH 10, SH 146 comprises an arterial route leading into industrial areas of Mont Belvieu. 10/22/03
A 106 mile long highway, SH 146 travels north from Mont Belvieu to Dayton and Livingston and south along the shore of Galveston Bay at Kemah to Texas City. 10/22/03
