SR 155 heads west along Thompson Road, an at-grade arterial to Berry Hill and U.S. 31 (Franklin Pike). SR 255 (Harding Place) meets U.S. 31A/41A (Nolensville Pike) 1.5 miles to the west of the diamond interchange (Exit 56) with I-24 at Providence. Eastward, SR 255 crosses Mill Creek and turns north on Donelson Pike to BNA Airport. 11/07/11
The entrance ramp from Exit 56 forms a fifth southbound lane to the six-ramp parclo interchange (Exits 57 A/B) with Haywood Lane. The left lane of I-24 is restricted to HOV-2 traffic during week day evening peak hours. 11/07/11

SR 254 constitutes an arterial through southern reaches of Nashville. The state route ends at U.S. 41/70S (Murfreesboro Pike) to the east and continues west to Brentwood and SR 100 between Forest Hills and Bellevue. 11/07/11
Hickory Hollow Parkway stems southeast from Antioch to intersect SR 254 (Bell Road) by Global Mall at the Crossings (formerly Hickory Hollow Mall). The arterial was extended south from Exit 60 as Century Farms Parkway to serve adjacent development. 11/07/11
A $30.5 million project underway from Fall 2018 to May 31, 2021 converted the trumpet interchange (Exit 60) with Hickory Hollow Parkway at Exit 60 into a DDI.1 A number of retail shopping centers line both the parkway and adjacent SR 254 nearby in addition to the mall. 11/07/11

SR 171 (Old Hickory Boulevard) meets Interstate 24 at a diamond interchange (Exit 62) in one mile. 11/07/11
SR 171 leads north from Interstate 24 and Exit 62 to Percy Priest Lake and U.S. 70 north of Mt. Juliet. Old Hickory Boulevard branches west from Burkitt Road to the south of I-24 through a hodgepodge of rural and suburban areas to SR 254 (Bell Road). Eastbound travelers enter the city of La Vergne south of the county line. Exit 64 serves the city of 38,719 (2020 census) with Waldron Road. 11/07/11
Waldron Road leads south from the parclo interchange (Exit 64) with I-24 to Rock Springs Road and north to U.S. 41/70S (Murfreesboro Road). A Bridgestone Firestone manufacturing plant lines the west side of Waldron Boulevard 0.75 miles to the north. 11/07/11

Beginning at Exit 66, SR 266 runs east across the city of Smyrna to Walter Hill and SR 96 at Lascassas. A north-south branch of SR 266 joins SR 96 with Norene and Lebanon to the east. 11/07/11
Sam Ridley Parkway ties into Blair Road just west of Exit 66 A. Blair Road links adjacent subdivisions and condominiums with Waldron Road to the west and Rock Springs Road to the south. 11/07/11
Exit 66 B quickly follows onto SR 266 (Sam Ridley Parkway), a four lane divided arterial leading northeast to U.S. 41/70S (Lowry Street). 11/07/11

Interstate 24 rises in elevation by Moor Hill along the periphery of the Smyrna city limits. Murfreesboro is the next city along I-24 in 13 miles while Downtown Chattanooga is another 111 miles. 11/07/11
SR 102, a north to south route between SR 96 near Scales Mountain and SR 266 (Jefferson Pike) in Smyrna, converges with Interstate 24 at a diamond interchange (Exit 70) in one mile. 11/07/11
SR 102 changes names seversl times, following Almaville Road south to Almaville and Interstate 840 and alternating Lee Victory Parkway / Nissan Drive north from the split with Almaville Road to the Nissan production plant in Smyrna. 11/07/11
Exit 70 leaves Interstate 24 east for SR 102 (Almaville Road). SR 102 originally followed all of Almaville Road north onto Hazelwood Drive and central Smyrna. Nissan Drive, a four lane parkway, was built to accommodate the automobile plant constructed in 1982. 11/07/11

Interstate 24 straddles the Murfreesboro city limits ahead of Exit 74 / I-840 and again at Overall Creek. The city center is nine miles away. 11/07/11
Forthcoming I-840 forms an outer beltway of Nashville. A directional cloverleaf interchange joins the freeway with I-24 at Exit 74. 11/07/11
Interstate 840 connects I-24 with I-65 near Franklin and I-40 outside Dickson to the west. Heading north, I-840 runs 23 miles to I-40 at Lebanon.
I-840 was completed when the 12 mile link between SR 46 near Leipers Fork and U.S. 31 at Thompson's Station opened in November 2012. 11/07/11
Florence Road spans I-24 at Exit 74 A for Interstate 840 west to Franklin. I-840 west leaves the outskirts of Murfreesboro along a rural course west to Almaville, Peytonsville and Interstate 65 by Lookout Hill. 11/07/11
