Business Loop I-25 - Buffalo

Business Loop I-25 branches west from I-25 at Exit 298 along Main Street. The route enters the Buffalo business district and combines with U.S. 16 at Fort Street. The tandem overlap for 0.4 miles to Hart Street, which leads U.S. 16 east alongside Business Loop I-90 to I-25 at Exit 299 and I-90 at Exit 58.

Continuing north from Hart Street, Business Loop I-25 & I-90 run concurrently with U.S. 87 Business to a half diamond interchange (Exit 56A) with Interstate 90. Business Loop I-25 is acknowledged on I-90 eastbound guide signs, despite extending further north than its adjacent parent route.

West from Buffalo, U.S. 16 follows Cloud Peak Skyway over Powder River Pass (el. 9,666 feet) in the southern Bighorn Mountains. Despite this high elevation, the pass is kept open year-round except during certain winter storms. 08/07/16

Main Street travels south between ranch land and industrial businesses ahead of the Buffalo city limits. The first confirming markers for each route stand along this stretch. 08/07/16

U.S. 16 (Hart Street) constitutes a commercial arterial east from Main Street to I-90. U.S. 16 continues beyond the ending Business Loop I-90 to U.S. 14 near Ucross. 08/07/16

U.S. 16 parts ways with Business Loop I-25 (Main Street) for Fort Street west. U.S. 16 travels from Buffalo to Worland in the Bighorn Basin, then turns north via U.S. 20 & Wyoming 789 to Greybull.
