Traveling 152 miles through the Hawkeye State, Interstate 29 parallels the Missouri River north from Hamburg to Sioux City. A regional freeway corridor between Kansas City, Missouri and Sioux Falls, South Dakota, I-29 replaced U.S. 275 north to Council Bluffs, and U.S. 75 from Omaha, Nebraska to Sioux City. The freeway runs side by side with I-80 at Council Bluffs and formerly overlapped with I-680 between Crescent and Loveland.
