I-140 (Pellissippi Parkway) opened between Northside Drive (SR 332) and U.S. 129 (Airport Highway) at Alcoa on December 4, 19922 and to I-40/75 at Exit 376 on December 16, 1996.3 Pellissippi Parkway (SR 162) north to Oak Ridge dates from the mid 1970s.
