The northernmost business route for Interstate 49 loops east from the freeway through the Bates County seat of Butler and west into the village of Passaic. The 6.11 mile route follows old U.S. 71 north from Exit 130 along Orange Street to Downtown Butler. Switching sides with I-49/U.S. 71 south of Passaic, Business Loop I-49 runs along Park Street north and Conklin Street east back to the freeway at Exit 136.
