Interstate 59 south reaches the town of Pearl River in five miles. The city of Slidell lies just beyond the south end in 12 miles, followed by New Orleans via I-10 west in 40 miles. 10/12/16

LA 3081 follows Main Street (old U.S. 11) south through Pearl River to the intersection of Watts Road (LA 41 north) and U.S. 11 (Concord Boulevard) north. 10/12/16
A Norfolk Southern Railroad line parallels Interstate 59 southward from Pearl River County, Mississippi to Pearl River. The railroad parts ways with I-59 from the West Pearl River swing bridge to follow LA 3081 and U.S. 11 into Alton and Slidell. 04/20/12
Exit 5 A departs I-59/U.S. 11 south for adjacent Pump Slough Road / LA 3081. Pearl River Town Hall lies just west of LA 3081 at the intersection of Pine and Church Streets. LA 41 stems north from U.S. 11 and LA 3081 to Hickory and Bush. 10/12/16

U.S. 11 follows Concord Boulevard northwest from Exit 3 to LA 41 (Watts Road) north and LA 3081 north. South from there, the US route follows the original alignment through Slidell to the Five Mile Bridge across Lake Pontchartrain. 10/12/16
Southbound at Exit 3 to U.S. 11 south and LA 1090 south. LA 1090 follows Military Road south from Pearl River and I-59 to a number of subdivisions through the eastern outskirts of Slidell. The state highway concludes at the U.S. 190 turn from Gause Boulevard southward onto Military Road. 10/12/16

Downtown Slidell is another four miles out via Interstate 10 west to U.S. 190 (Gause Boulevard) west. New Orleans is 32 miles to the southwest via I-10. 10/12/16
The Louisiana welcome center lies along Interstate 59 southbound ahead of Brown Switch Road. 10/12/16
A cloverleaf interchange with two wyes (Exits 1A/B/C) joins Interstate 59 with I-10 and I-12 west in 1.50 miles. 10/12/16

The next three interchanges along Interstate 10 west (U.S. 190, U.S. 190 Business, LA 433) serve the city of Slidell. I-10 east leaves the state for Hancock County, Mississippi. 10/12/16
Exit 1A departs from I-59 south at the Browns Switch Road overpass for Interstate 12 west to Hammond and Baton Rouge. I-12 comprises a well traveled route between Slidell and Covington along the northern periphery of Lake Pontchartrain. 10/12/16
Continuing beyond Exit 1A for I-12, Interstate 59 defaults onto I-10 west to New Orleans (Exit 1C) with a loop ramp (Exit 1B) joining I-10 east to Gulfport, Biloxi and Mobile, Alabama. 10/12/16
I-59 ends at the separation of Exits 1 B and 1 C. Interstate 10 west spans Lake Pontchartrain in seven miles. Eastbound reaches the exit for Bay St. Louis, Mississippi in 20 miles. 10/12/16
