Interstate 82 U.S. 12 East U.S. 97 South
U.S. 12 joins I-82 east for a 71.17 mile concurrently between Yakima and Interstate 182. U.S. 97 remains along the freeway through east Yakima. 08/31/06

SR 22 meets Interstate 82 at the west side of Zillah in 11 miles. Richland in the Tri-Cities is 68 miles to the southeast. 08/31/06
Thorp Road straddles the western slopes of the Rattlesnake Hills from Moxee Valley to the diamond interchange at Exit 40. 08/31/06

Construction of I-82 overtook old U.S. 410 and U.S. 12 from E Street to a point just south of Vanbelle Road. This displaced the original north end of SR 223 along E Street east to I-82 when it opened in 1981. 08/31/06

Yakima Valley Highway (old U.S. 410 and U.S. 12), a Union Pacific Railroad and Gap Road parallel I-82/U.S. 12 ahead of Exit 63 to Sunnyside Road. This is the first of three exchanges for Sunnyside along the route. 08/31/06
Sunnyside Road is a short connector west to Gap Road and north to Yakima Valley Highway. The unincorporated community of Outlook lies just west on Yakima Valley Highway while former U.S. 410 and U.S. 12 continue east to the Sunnyside city center. 08/31/06

Exit 73 loops westward to an intersection with former U.S. 410 and U.S. 12 and a connector ramp to adjacent Stover Road / Wallace Way. Stover Road leads west to SR 241 and Wallace Way heads south to end at Forsell Road. 08/31/06
The freeway drops below grade and passes under the Wilson Way and Elm Street overpasses to Sunnyside Canal in north Grandview. 08/31/06
A diamond interchange joins I-82/U.S. 12 with McCreadie Road at Exit 75 in one mile. 08/31/06

McCreadie Road stems east from Wine Country Road (old U.S. 410 and U.S. 12) in Grandview to Washington State University Experimental Station and Crow Canyon. Nearby County Line Road heads north onto Sagebrush Ridge and east to become Lemley Road. 08/31/06
CR 12 (Wine Country Road) parallels the south side of I-82/U.S. 12 along the former U.S. 410 and U.S. 12 alignment to Exit 80. The final 57.23 miles of I-82 within Washington fall in Benton County. 08/31/06
The Eastbound Grandview Weigh Station lies near the Central Washington Railroad siding of Apricot. Construction of the facility relocated parallel CR 12 to the south. An abandoned Union Pacific Railroad line also is present near the station. 08/31/06
Prosser, the final city along I-82/U.S. 12 east in Yakima Valley, is four miles away. Richland is a half hour drive via Interstate 182. 08/31/06
I-82/U.S. 12 turn more southward at the crossing of Sunnyside Canal. An off-freeway rest area lies along Merlot Drive next to Gap Road, adjacent to the diamond interchange at Exit 80. 08/31/06
Gap Road leads south from Snipes Road near The Gap in Sagebrush Ridge to meet I-82/U.S. 12 at Exit 80. This is the first of two exits for Prosser along the freeway. 08/31/06
Gap Road transitions directly into Wine County Road (old U.S. 410/U.S. 12) eastward to the Prosser city center. 08/31/06
Merlot Drive spurs east from CR 12 and Gap Road as an south side frontage road for I-82/U.S. 12 adjacent to this shield assembly. 08/31/06

Connecting with SR 221, a 26.04 mile long highway south to SR 14 at Paterson, SR 22 runs west from Exit 82 around Prosser. SR 22 began at Exit 50. 08/31/06
