No longer posted along its former 3.8 mile route on old U.S. 10 through Coeur d'Alene by 2006, this business loop traveled Northwest Boulevard southeast from Exit 11 to Downtown Coeur d'Alene. Sherman Avenue continued the route east to Exit 15 of Interstate 90 near Fernan Lake.

Northwest Boulevard south / former Business Loop I-90 East
Ramsey Road transitions into Northwest Boulevard on the seven lane wide overpass above Interstate 90. This was the western terminus of Business Loop I-90. 09/01/06
Northwest Boulevard overtakes Seltice Way (old U.S. 10) southeast into Coeur d'Alene. Ironwood Drive extends the road east to Kootenai Medical Center at U.S. 95 (Lincoln Way). 09/01/06
Northwest Boulevard south between Hubbard Street and River Avenue. Several changes made to this stretch of former Business Loop I-90 since 2006 include the addition of signals at both Hubbard Street and River Avenue, which link the boulevard with North Idaho College to the west. Also removed are the old Burlington Northern Railroad tracks. 09/01/06
A welcome sign stands along Northwest Boulevard at the entrance to the Coeur d'Alene city center. 09/01/06
Mullan Road east from North Idaho College and City Park intersects Northwest Boulevard opposite Government Way north. These two roads represent an older alignment of U.S. 95. 09/01/06
Lakeside Avenue meets Northwest Boulevard at Independence Point on Coeur d'Alene Lake. 09/01/06
Northwest Boulevard becomes Sherman Avenue east of First Street through Downtown Coeur d'Alene. 09/01/06
Sherman Avenue / former Business Loop I-90 East
Sherman Avenue (old U.S. 10 / Business Loop I-90) east at 2nd Street. 09/01/06
3rd Street heads south from Interstate 90 to the Hillcrest neighborhood and Veterans Memorial Park south of Sherman Avenue. 09/01/06
4th Street flows north as the counterpart to 3rd Street to the diamond interchange (Exit 13) with I-90. 09/01/06
Eastbound Sherman Avenue at 5th Street and Veterans Memorial Park. 09/01/06
A pair of condo high rises line Front Avenue on the block south of Sherman Avenue at 6th and 7th Streets. Sherman Avenue leaves the city center beyond 7th. 09/01/06
8th Street stems north from Sherman Avenue to form Lakeside Avenue west into Downtown. 09/01/06
Sherman Avenue becomes more commercial again from 11th Street east to Interstate 90. 09/01/06
23rd Street leads south from the I-90 eastbound off-ramp at Exit 15 to become Coeur d'Alene Lake Drive south to Silver Beach and Wolf Lodge Bay. The lake side drive was the temporary alignment of Interstate 90 east until the completion of the Veterans Memorial Bridge in 1992. 09/01/06
Sherman Avenue east reaches the eastbound on-ramp to Interstate 90 for Kellogg, Wallace and Missoula, Montana. Business Loop I-90 concluded here. 09/01/06
Sherman Avenue continues east from Interstate 90 to Fernan Lake Road and Sherman Drive at Fernan Lake Village. 09/01/06
Interstate 90 west encircles the Coeur d'Alene street grid northward to U.S. 95 (Lincoln Way) en route to Post Falls and Spokane, Washington. This stretch of freeway opened in 1960. 09/01/06
Northwest Boulevard north / former Business Loop I-90 West
Northwest Boulevard enters the diamond interchange with Interstate 90. Business Loop I-90 west ended here as Ramsey Road begins. This exit was reconfigured from a parclo interchange in 2001 as part of a $9.8 million project. Northwest Boulevard was expanded to seven lanes above I-90 during the road work.1 09/01/06
