20.21 mile long Interstate comprising the western half of the Hampton Roads Beltway, Interstate 664 travels north-south between Chesapeake and Hampton in southeastern Virginia. Completed in 1992, the freeway crosses the James River on the Monitor-Merrimac Memorial Bridge Tunnel, a 6.2-mile system between Hampton and Suffolk. The Interstate uses a sequential based exit numbering scheme.
