The Grand Avenue overpass closed on May 6, 2016 due to stress fractures. A $3.5 million emergency contract was awarded to demolish the span and build a replacement.2 10/07/21
Left Exit 2N departs for I-70/U.S. 24-40 west to both Interstate 35 and the northbound beginning of I-29. U.S. 71 follows I-29 north from I-70 to the Northland of Kansas City and St. Joseph. 10/07/21

The Paseo connects Interstate 670 east with Downtown East, Hospital Hill and Paseo West. The boulevard is a historic alignment for U.S. 40, U.S. 56 and U.S. 71 from Linwood Boulevard north to Independence Avenue (old U.S. 24). 10/07/21
Entering the split diamond interchange (Exit 3A) with The Paseo, I-670 east converges with I-70/U.S. 24-40 ahead of Exit 3B for Independence Plaza. 10/07/21
