Four 260 feet pylons support the Kansas City Convention Center, which spans Interstate 670 between Broadway Boulevard and Wyandotte Street. The Bartle Hall expansion was constructed above I-670 between October 1991 and September 1994. 10/07/21

Central Street heads north from 16th Street to link Interstate 670 with the convention center complex and Municipal Auditorium to 12th Street and Downtown. 10/07/21

Interstate 670 emerges from below the Grand Ballroom a half mile ahead of I-70 and U.S. 71. The addition of the 46,450 square foot Grand Ballroom to the Kansas City Convention Center complex was constructed above I-670 between June 2005 and April 2007.1 06/19/15

Traffic on the I-670 mainline forms the left lane leading east to the directional interchange (Exits 2 M/N) with I-70/U.S. 24-40-71 north to I-29/35 and U.S. 71 south through Hospital Hill. 10/07/21

Grand Avenue passes over Interstate 670 by the T-Mobile Center the primary concert and indoor sports arena for Kansas City. The Grand Avenue overpass closed on May 6, 2016 due to stress fractures. A $3.5 million emergency contract was awarded to demolish the span and build a replacement.2 10/07/21

Left Exit 2N departs for I-70/U.S. 24-40 west to both Interstate 35 and the northbound beginning of I-29. U.S. 71 follows I-29 north from I-70 to the Northland of Kansas City and St. Joseph. 10/07/21

U.S. 71 extends south from I-70 and Exit 2M along Bruce Watkins Drive / Midtown South Freeway to Mt. Hope, Blue Hills and South Kansas City. U.S> 71 becomes Interstate 49 at the Three Trails Crossing Memorial Highway exchange with I-435, I-470 and U.S. 50. 10/07/21

Two lanes continue from Interstate 670 east onto I-70/U.S. 24-40 east beyond Exit 3A for The Paseo. 10/07/21

The Paseo connects Interstate 670 east with Downtown East, Hospital Hill and Paseo West. The boulevard is a historic alignment for U.S. 40, U.S. 56 and U.S. 71 from Linwood Boulevard north to Independence Avenue (old U.S. 24). 10/07/21

Entering the split diamond interchange (Exit 3A) with The Paseo, I-670 east converges with I-70/U.S. 24-40 ahead of Exit 3B for Independence Plaza. 10/07/21
