Interstate 696

Interstate 696 (Walter P. Reuther Freeway) forms the northern leg of a suburban loop around Detroit with I-275 south to Monroe County. I-696 extends 28.68 miles east from the exchange joining I-96/275 and M-5 at Novi to St. Clair Shores. Through Oakland County, I-696 is an urban style freeway across the cities of Farmington Hills, Southfield and Oak Park among others. Entering Macomb County at Warren, I-696 continues east to Roseville and Interstate 94.
