Illinois Route 127 follows a fairly linear course in south central Illinois north from Route 13 & 154 in Pinckneyville to Interstate 55 and Route 48 west of Raymond. The state route connects Nashville, New Minden, Posey, Carlyle, Greenville, Donnellson and Hillsboro along a 97 mile route.
