Indiana 13 is a 138 mile highway that begins at U.S. 36/Indiana 67 in Fortville, in northwestern Hancock County, and heads north through the towns of Lapel and Elwood in Madison County. North of there, it goes through small towns along its routing toward the north. From Grant County northward, the highway follows Indiana 15 and is more of a local highway as opposed to the major Indiana 15, going through the cities of Wabash, North Manchester, Pierceton, North Webster, Syracuse and Middlebury before passing the Indiana Toll Road and crossing into Michigan.
