A 26.83 mile route, NJ 34 runs northwest from the junction of NJ 35 and NJ 70 in south Wall township to U.S. 9 at Old Bridge township. The state route travels a four-lane divided highway north from Wall township to NJ 33 ahead of Naval Weapons Station Earle in Howell township.

New Jersey Route 34 North
A cloverleaf interchange joins Route 34 north with the east end of Interstate 195 and west end of Route 138. I-195 crosses the state 34.17 miles to Interstate 295 & Route 129 at Hamilton township outside Trenton. 06/30/05
Hurleys Pond Road heads east to Allenwood Road at Hurley Pond and west to Monmouth Executive Airport (BLM). Motorists bound for the Garden State Parkway are directed to U-turn via the jug-handle with Hurleys Pond Road back to Route 34 south. 06/30/05
New Jersey Route 34 South
Route 34 passes by Wall Stadium Speedway southward into the cloverleaf interchange with Interstate 195 west and Route 138 east. I-195 begins here and leads west to Trenton. 06/30/05
As I-195 east ends, Route 138 takes over and extends the route east along a divided highway toward Belmar. A parclo interchange resides nearby providing access onto the Garden State Parkway north. 06/30/05
