19.52 miles in length, Ohio State Route 176 parallels Interstate 77 north from Richfield to Cleveland. The route begins at a parclo interchange with I-77/U.S. 21 by Kinross Lakes Commercial Park. Following Broadview Road, SR 176 angles northwest to the Cuyahoga County line and the city of Broadview Heights.

Continuing north, SR 176 (Broadview Road) straddles the Parma and Seven Hills city line from Sprague Road to Skyview Drive. The five lane boulevard shifts westward through northeastern Parma to SR 17 (Brookpark Road) and the Cleveland city limits. SR 176 overlaps with SR 17 east 0.24 miles to ramps with the Jennings Freeway across Interstate 480.

The Jennings Freeway links I-480 with I-71 along a 3.80 mile course through Old Brooklyn, Brooklyn Center and Tremont in Cleveland. The north end of the freeway and SR 176 connects with I-71 at the four level interchange with I-90 (Northwest Freeway / Innerbelt Freeway) and I-490 east.
