The business route follows the one-way street couplet of Main Street and Klamath Avenue through Downtown and Esplanade Avenue to Oregon 39. Oregon 39 and Business U.S. 97 share pavement along Kit Carson Way, a controlled-access expressway, before meeting U.S. 97 in northern Klamath Falls.
