U.S. 151 was realigned from 1st Avenue through Cascade onto a freeway bypass built in 2002. AASHTO formally endorsed the 4.22 mile realignment on May 30, 2003. The former alignment was established as U.S. 151 Business by AASHTO on October 7, 2003. The application approval listed the route as 5.72 miles in length, but it only travels 3.0 miles from 234th Street at U.S. 151 to the west of Cascade to a parclo interchange joining U.S. 151 with Fox Street and CR Y13 (Farley Road) north.
