U.S. 522 is designated as the Zachary Taylor Highway in Virginia. Zachary Taylor was the 12th President of the United States, from 1849-1850. Born in Orange County, Virginia in 1784, he died while in office after eating cherries and milk at a ceremony on July 4, 1850.1
