Virginia 234 leaves a 2.27-mile overlap with Interstate 66 west for Prince William Parkway south. Prince William Parkway constitutes a controlled-access bypass around the independent city of Manassas. The first intersection of the route connects with Balls Ford Road, an east-west road linking Virginia 234 with industrial parks and Virginia 234 Business (Sudley Road) near Exit 47 of Interstate 66.
