A 13.91 mile long route, SR 262 (Woodrow Wilson Parkway) encircles the city of Staunton west from I-64/81 at Exit 220 and I-81 at Exit 225. Completed in 2006, the route northwest to U.S. 250 is a limited access highway. The northern arc is as a controlled access expressway with at-grade intersections. SR 262 extends east from Exit 225 to SR 254 (New Hope Road / Hermitage Road).

SR 275 was the original designation for the northern half of Woodrow Wilson Parkway, from U.S. 250 east to Interstate 81. It was redesignated as SR 262 on June 20, 2006, less than two months before the expressway loop around Staunton was complete.1
