Sign History Articles

Here, we feature a set of articles on a variety of highway sign topics.

The Laws Railroad Museum

Bishop, California is home to the Laws Railroad Museum - one of the greatest sets of railroad, old highway trail, and frontier artifacts in the west. Our exploration focuses on the highway signs of this incredible collection.
The Midland Trail

The route that preceded U. S. highway 6 in California and Nevada. First signed in 1915, the Midland Trail was the first route to connect the Lincoln Highway to Los Angeles, and therefore the first federal road to connect southern California to the rest of the United States.
