In my time at Rensselaer, I dated a nurse in Albany and we used to take road trips in her 1958 Volkswagen Beetle. In April 1962 we went down to the NY-NJ-Pa tripoint. This shot is in Milford, Penna, where US 206 meets US 6 and 209. The significance is that US 206 ran into Pennsylvania just a very short distance, little more than a mile. The second photo was taken last Thursday, in roughly the same spot. Note that it says “TO US 206).” The actual beginning of US 206 is now at the point where the route veers off to cross the Delaware River into NJ. I would hazard a guess that the extent of US 206 in Pennsylvania is now no more than 100 yards.
