The northbound beginning of I-35 carries with it US 83. US 83 is overlapped with I-35 for about 20 miles, at which point it splits off and heads north and west. 02/18/06

After being constructed, SH 255 did not meet financial expectations and eventually fell into foreclosure. After default, the original owners bought the road back for $12 million, then closed the road. TxDOT bought it after closure for $20 million to reopen it. 02/18/06
