The unincorporated community of Organ follows in a half mile. U.S. 70 climbs across San Augustin Pass ahead of White Sands Missile Range. Alamogordo is 54 miles to the northeast. 01/14/06
White Sands National Monument is another 38 miles to the east from Organ via U.S. 70. 01/14/06
With a population of just over 300, Organ consists of a small grid of lettered and numbered streets. 01/14/06
