Routing
California 123 is San Pablo Avenue is the original route of U.S. 40 through El Cerrito, Albany, Berkeley, and Oakland. It was briefly known as Business U.S. 40 when U.S. 40 was relocated to the Eastshore Freeway (current Interstate 80).
